Beaver G304 Stainless Steel Wire Rope 1x19 5mm is a stiff, non-flexible rope for fixed straight-line rigging like mast stays, guy ropes and structural runs. The 5mm diameter is the heavier of the two sizes in this range, with a minimum breaking force of 20.58kN and an approximate mass of 12.77kg/100m. Right hand ordinary lay, 1x19 construction, so it holds its line rather than bending around sheaves.
Grade 304 stainless gives good corrosion resistance for marine work, waste management and anything sitting out in the weather, though it has limits in harsher corrosive conditions. The clean stainless finish also suits decorative jobs such as balustrading, where the wire is on show. Keep it out of running applications and it will do its job for years. Wipe down and inspect for surface staining or broken wires where salt and grime collect.
