About this product
The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Carbine (Carabina) Eye Hook 5mm is a spring gate snap hook for joining ropes and light components quickly and securely. At 5mm thickness and 50mm overall length, this is the smallest of the sizes in the range, so it suits light rope work, tie backs and connections where a bigger hook would be clumsy. The fixed eye measures 7mm, with a 26.5mm width across the body and a 7.8mm D dimension.
Grade 316 marine stainless gives it good corrosion resistance, which makes it a sensible pick around saltwater, wash down areas and other harsh conditions. The same material makes it suitable for food and pharmaceutical processing work. It weighs 0.02kg, so it adds almost nothing to a line. The gate is spring loaded, so clipping on and off is a one hand job.
