The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Carbine (Carabina) Hook 5mm is a spring gate snap hook for joining ropes, lanyards and light hardware quickly. At 5mm thick with a 50mm overall length and 26.5mm width, it is the smallest end of the range, so it suits tie-back points, tool tethers and gear you clip on and off all day. Gate opening is 7mm, with a 8mm eye at the tail. It weighs 0.018kg, which you will barely notice on a belt.

Made from marine grade 316 stainless steel, it holds up around salt water, wash-down bays and other harsh environments where plated steel starts to bleed rust. The spring loaded gate closes on its own, so nothing works loose while you move about. One thing to be clear on, this hook is not to be used for lifting applications. Keep it for connecting and restraining, and use a rated lifting hook when there is a load overhead.
