The Beaver Wire Rope Copper Ferrules 7.8mm x 15.6mm x 2.9mm are swage fittings used to form a soft eye or termination in 7mm wire rope. You thread the rope through, turn the tail back, then press the ferrule with the matching die so it grips the rope along its full length. Copper stays soft enough to flow into the rope lay under pressure, which is why it has been the go to for hand and hydraulic swaging for decades.
This size runs a 7.8mm bore, 15.6mm outside diameter and 2.9mm wall, with an overall length of 25mm. Beaver manufactures them to DIN 3093, so dimensions stay consistent from one batch to the next and your press setup does not need rechecking each time. Match the ferrule size to the rope diameter and the correct die, and check the finished swage for even compression with no splits.
