Beaver Wire Rope Copper Ferrules 5.5mm x 11mm x 2.1mm are swage sleeves for forming eyes, loops and stops in 5mm wire rope. The 5.5mm bore takes the doubled rope, the 11mm outside diameter gives the press something to bite into, and the 2.1mm wall thickness is what flows into the strands when you crimp it. Overall length is 18mm. Manufactured by Beaver to DIN 3093.

Copper works because it deforms cleanly under the die and stays put, so the finished termination holds its shape. Match the ferrule to the rope size and use the correct die in your swaging tool, since an under or over pressed sleeve is the usual cause of trouble. Handy for balustrade wire, fencing lines, light rigging assemblies and any job where a neat mechanical termination beats a hand splice.
