Beaver Wire Rope Nickle Plated Copper Ferrules 2.7mm x 5.4mm x 1.05mm are swage sleeves for forming eyes and terminations in 2.5mm wire rope. This is the small end of the range, with a 2.7mm bore, 5.4mm outside diameter and 1.05mm wall, sitting 9mm long once positioned on the rope. Beaver manufactures them to DIN 3093.
Copper takes the swage cleanly under a proper press or hand swager, and the nickle plating gives the finished ferrule a tidier look with better resistance to tarnishing than bare copper. Handy for balustrade wire, light control cables, fencing lines and display or architectural work where the rope is fine and the fitting needs to stay neat. Match the bore to the rope diameter and use the correct die, otherwise the grip will not be right.
