About this product
Beaver Wire Rope Copper Ferrules 2.7mm x 5.4mm x 1.05mm are swage sleeves for terminating 2.5mm wire rope into a soft eye or loop. This is the small end of the range, with a 2.7mm bore, a 5.4mm outside dimension and a 1.05mm wall, giving a neat finish on light rope work where a bulky fitting would get in the way. Overall length is 9mm.
Copper stays soft enough to flow properly under the dies, so you get full contact along the barrel when the ferrule is pressed with the correct tool and die size. Beaver manufactures these to DIN 3093. Handy for balustrade cable, light control lines and small rope assemblies. Check the rope diameter before you swage, since a ferrule sized for 2.5mm rope will not do the job on anything larger.
