About this product
The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Swivel Eye Snap Hook 16mm is a quick-connect hook for rope and light chain work where twisting is a nuisance. The swivel eye turns a full 360 degrees on its axis, so line pays out straight instead of winding up on itself. At 90mm overall with a 15.8mm eye and 12mm gate opening, it suits smaller rope terminations and general tie-off jobs around the yard or on deck.
Grade 316 stainless is the marine spec, so salt spray, wash-down bays and coastal sites are all fair game. The hook weighs 0.05kg, which keeps it out of the way on a lanyard or dog lead style setup. Under tension the swivel holds its alignment rather than spinning out of position. Give the gate spring a check now and then and rinse off any grit that builds up in the mechanism.
Common questions
- what size is the beaver 16mm swivel eye snap hook
