About this product
The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope Thimble 16mm sits inside a rope eye to stop the wire crushing or wearing where it turns. This is the 16mm wire size, the larger end of the range, with an 82.7mm overall length, 75mm across the B dimension, a 37.5mm C measurement and a 22mm D, so it takes heavier rope than the smaller thimbles in the family.
Made from Grade 316 stainless, also called marine grade, it holds up in salt water and coastal air far better than lower grades. That makes it a sensible pick for boats, jetty work, wash-down areas and food or pharmaceutical processing gear. The E dimension is 19mm and the thimble weighs 0.09kg. Note that this fitting is not to be used for lifting.
