The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope Thimble 5mm lines the eye of a 5mm wire rope so the rope holds its shape and does not chew itself out against a hard edge. This size takes 5mm wire, with a 30.5mm A dimension, 26mm B, 13mm C, 8.5mm D and a 6.8mm groove at E. At 0.009kg it is a small part doing quiet work in the eye of a splice or swage.
Grade 316 is the marine grade, so it handles salt water and coastal air far better than lesser stainless. That makes it a sensible pick for boats, jetty work, wash-down areas and food or pharmaceutical processing. One thing to be clear on, this thimble is not rated for lifting. Match the thimble to the rope diameter, keep the rope seated in the groove, and check the eye for distortion or wear when you inspect the assembly.
