About this product
The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope Thimble 2mm protects the eye of a 2mm wire rope, keeping the loop in shape and stopping the strands from crushing or wearing against a shackle or pin. This is the smallest end of the range, sized for fine 2mm wire on balustrades, rigging screws and light boat work. Body measures 20.6mm by 18mm, with a 7.5mm C dimension, 4.5mm at D and a 3mm groove at E.
Made from Grade 316 stainless, also called marine grade, so it holds up in salt water and coastal air far better than lower grades. That corrosion resistance also makes it a fit for food and pharmaceutical processing gear. At 0.005kg it adds nothing to the assembly. Note this thimble is not to be used for lifting.
