About this product
The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope Grip 5mm is a saddle clamp for terminating or forming an eye in 5mm stainless wire rope. It is made from Grade 316 stainless steel, known as marine grade, so it holds up in salt water and coastal air far better than lower grades. The M5 U-bolt thread, 29mm A dimension, 19.6mm B and 23mm C keep the saddle seated properly on the rope. Weight is 0.22kg.
This is the smallest end of the range, suited to light wire work like balustrade runs, boat rigging and fencing rather than heavy cable. Grade 316 also suits food and pharmaceutical processing work where washdown is constant. Match the grip size to the rope size, fit the saddle on the live end, and check the nuts after the rope has taken load. This fitting is not to be used for lifting.
