About this product
The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Hook and Eye Turnbuckle with Lock Nuts in 8mm is a tensioning fitting for wire, rope and stay work where you need to pull something up tight and hold it there. This size runs an M8 thread with a 212mm overall length, a 122mm take-up body, 10.3mm at C and 14mm at E, so it suits lighter lines than the bigger sizes in the range while still giving decent adjustment.
One end is cut left hand and the other right hand. Turn the frame and both ends draw in together, shortening the unit and putting tension on the line. The lock nuts then hold your setting so it does not wind back. Made from marine grade 316 stainless steel, it stands up to salt air and other corrosive conditions, and at 0.15kg it is easy to fit up high. Not to be used for lifting applications.
