About this product
The Beaver 3S Industrial Manual Chain Block in the 3t size is a hand-operated hoist for vertical lifting on monorails, jibs and fixed installations, with a 3m standard lift. Two falls of 8mm x 24mm G80 calibrated load chain carry the 3 tonne rated capacity, and it takes 335kg of effort on the lever to move a full load. Net weight is 29kg, so it is a solid unit to rig compared with the lighter capacities in the range.
Construction is cast steel through the body, gear case and reinforced side covers, with ball bearings in the top and bottom hooks and safety catches fitted. Overload protection is built in, along with a double pawl and double roller guide. The yellow colour code marks the 3t rating. It complies to AS/NZS 1418.2, and the Grade 80 calibrated chain is marked according to ISO 3077. Use it for straight vertical lifts only, side loading can jam the chain.
