The Beaver Chain Split Links 6mm x Hot Dipped Galvanised is a simple connector for joining two lengths of chain or patching a damaged run. The 6mm thickness suits lighter chain work where a full connecting link is more than the job needs, and at 0.03kg each one adds almost nothing to the assembly. Fit it by hand, then close it up.
Closing is done either by hammering the link down or running a tack weld across it. The hot dipped galvanised coating gives the link a heavier barrier against rust and corrosion than electro galvanised, which makes it the better pick for outdoor yards, wash-down areas and coastal sites. Worth noting these are for chain joining and repair, not a rated lifting component.
