The 3M Versaflo Helmet Head Suspension is the replacement internal harness that holds an M-400 Series helmet on the wearer's head. It is the part that wears out long before the shell does, so keeping one on the shelf saves pulling a good helmet out of service. It adjusts to suit a range of head sizes and head shapes, which matters when the same unit gets passed between crew members.
Built as a genuine replacement part for the 3M Versaflo M-400 Series, so it seats and locks the way the original did. Rated for general use, and covered by AS/NZS 1716:2012, AS/NZS 1337.1:2010 and AS/NZS 1801:1997. Check the suspension whenever the helmet gets its pre-use look over. Frayed webbing, cracked adjusters or a ratchet that will not hold means it is time for a new one.
