The 3M H540P3GSE Helmet Attachment Optime III earmuff is a hard hat mounted hearing protector for high noise work, rated Class 5 with an SLC80 of 30 dB. It clips straight onto your existing helmet rather than sitting on a headband, so crews already wearing a hard hat all day keep both bits of gear working together. The kit covers both common slot sizes, with the GS blade fitted for 25mm hard hats and the E blade supplied for 30mm.
Deep cups give your ears room, which cuts down the heat and sweat that builds up under a tight muff in the sun. The cushions are wide and soft to spread pressure around the ear rather than pinching it. Being compatible with the 3M E-A-Rfit Dual-Ear Validation System, you can get a quantitative measure of the noise reduction each worker is actually getting.
