About this product
The 3M Organic and Mercury Vapours P3 Particulate Cartridge Filter is a combination cartridge for crews working around solvent vapours, mercury vapours and airborne particulates. It carries an A1HgP3 classification, covering organic vapours with a boiling point above 65 degrees C, mercury vapours, chlorine gas and particulates in the one cartridge, so there is no need to swap filters when the job shifts from one hazard to the next.
Worth knowing how the particulate side behaves. Fitted to a 3M full face respirator, you get the higher P3 protection factors. On a 3M half face respirator, the same cartridge gives a P2 level of protection. Match the cartridge to the right facepiece for the hazard you are dealing with, and keep it sealed and clean when it is off the mask.
