About this product
The 3M5935 Pre Filter P3 is a particulate filter that clips over your gas and vapour cartridges to catch dust, mist and fume before it reaches the cartridge media. It works with the 3M 6000 series cartridges and is held in place by the 501 retainer, so you keep the same respirator and just add particulate protection where the job calls for it.
P3 is the highest particulate class in the filter range, which makes it the pick for grinding, spray work and dusty mine site tasks done alongside chemical exposure. Fitting takes seconds. Seat the filter on the cartridge, then lock the retainer over the top. Swap them out once breathing gets harder or the filter is visibly loaded, and leave the cartridge underneath in service until it reaches its own end of life.
