The Beaver Lifting Collared Eyebolt with UNC Thread 1/2" is a screw-in lifting point for machinery, dies, motors and fabricated items that need a fixed eye for a hook or shackle. This is the 1/2" UNC size, rated to a 400kg working load limit, so it sits at the lighter end of the range where the load is modest and the tapped hole is small. Thread diameter is 12.7mm with a 48mm shank height, a 20mm eye and a 44mm overall width. It weighs 0.15kg.
The collar is the key part. Seated hard against the machined face, it lets the eyebolt take an angled pull, with a transverse load limit of 0.1 tonne. Keep the load in the plane of the eye and wind it down fully. Finish is self colour, so watch it for rust if it lives outdoors or gets washed down, and keep the threads clean. This collared eyebolt complies to AS 2317.
