About this product
The Beaver Silver Lashing Rope 10mm x 12m is a three strand polyethylene rope for tying down loads on trucks, trailers and around the farm. The 12m length is the middle of the range, long enough to throw over a ute tray or a small machine and still have tail to work with, without the bulk of a longer run. At 10mm diameter it holds a knot well and stays comfortable in the hand.
Silver rope is made from fibrillated film, so fine hairs stand off the strands and give it good knotting and anti-abrasion behaviour. The medium-to-soft lay makes it easy to handle and pull up tight. It resists oil, petrol, acid, rot, mildew, sunlight and weathering, so it copes outdoors, and it floats and can be put away wet. Medium strength and durability, made to AS 4142.2.
Common questions
- what is beaver silver lashing rope made of
- Synthetic polyethylene fibres in a three strand construction. The fibrillated film gives it the hairy surface that helps with knotting and abrasion resistance.
- can silver rope be stored wet
- Yes. Silver rope floats and can be stored wet, and it also resists rot, mildew, sunlight and weathering.
- is 10mm x 12m silver rope long enough for tying down a load
- 12m suits most tie-down jobs on a truck or trailer tray, giving enough rope to run over a load and tie off. Step up to a longer length if you are lashing bigger or multiple loads.
