The Black Rat 4WD Nylon Heavy Duty Recovery Strap 16t is a snatch strap for pulling a bogged vehicle out under the momentum of a recovery vehicle. It measures 9m long by 60mm wide in a 2ply open weave nylon, with a minimum breaking strain of 16,000kg. That makes it the lightest duty option in the Black Rat range, sized for smaller 4WDs and utes rather than heavy trucks or loaded machinery.
Nylon gives the strap around 20% stretch, so the load builds progressively instead of hitting the recovery points as a dead shock. The eyes at both ends are reinforced where the wear is worst. At 3.9kg it stows easily in a recovery bag. Made to the Consumer Goods (Motor Vehicle Recovery Straps) Safety Standard.
