About this product
The Beaver EPM Rubber Tie-Downs 21" is a rubber tie-down for holding light loads, covers and gear in place on trays, trailers and utes. The 21" strap gives you the mid-length option in the range, with a maximum safe stretch of 32", so you get a fair bit of reach without over-tensioning the rubber. At 0.12kg each, it is easy to keep a handful in the toolbox or glovebox.
Made from EPM rubber, the strap holds its stretch and is not affected by heat, cold or steam. The stainless steel hooks will not bend or rust, which matters on sites where the tie-downs live outside and see plenty of weather. Use the 21" length where the shorter strap comes up tight but a longer one would leave slack. Check the rubber for cracking or splits before each use and replace anything that has perished.
Common questions
- how far does a 21 inch rubber tie down stretch
- The maximum safe stretch is 32", measured from the 21" strap length. Going past that puts unnecessary strain on the rubber.
- are beaver rubber tie down hooks rust proof
- The hooks are stainless steel, so they will not rust and they will not bend out of shape in normal use.
- what size beaver rubber tie down should i get
- There are two sizes in the range. The 21" is the option to pick when you need a bit more reach, stretching safely to 32".
