About this product
The Beaver Commercial Chain Swivels 16mm is an eye and eye swivel that lets chain or rope turn freely instead of building up twist. It is the 16mm size in the range, at 1.2kg, so it suits heavier commercial chain work where the smaller sizes are getting out of their depth.
Both eyes are closed, so the swivel is fitted inline as part of an assembly rather than clipped on and off. The galvanised finish gives it some protection against weather and general knocking about outdoors. One thing to be clear on, this is a commercial swivel and is not suitable for lifting applications, so keep it off any load-bearing rig and use rated lifting gear for that work.
Common questions
- can you use the Beaver 16mm chain swivel for lifting?
- No. Beaver lists this commercial chain swivel as not suitable for lifting applications, so use properly rated lifting hardware instead.
- what finish is the Beaver 16mm commercial chain swivel?
- It is galvanised, which helps it handle outdoor use and general exposure better than a bare steel finish.
- how much does the 16mm Beaver commercial chain swivel weigh?
- This size weighs 1.2kg and has a 16mm thickness, making it the heavier end of the Beaver commercial swivel range.
