About this product
The Beaver Wire Rope Aluminium Ferrules 4.4mm x 8.8mm x 1.7mm are swage sleeves for forming eyes in wire rope, pressed on with a swaging machine. This is one of the smaller sizes in the Beaver range, with a 4.4mm bore, an 8.8mm outside dimension and a 1.7mm wall, carrying DIN code 4. Overall length is 14mm.
Made from aluminium and certified to EN 13411, they suit both galvanised and black wire rope. Slide the ferrule on, form your eye, feed the tail back through and press it in the correct die. Use the matching die for the size so the ferrule is compressed properly, and check the swage for cracks or under-filling before the assembly goes to work.
