The Beaver Wire Rope Thimbles Hot Dipped Galvanised 38mm is the heavy end of the range, sized to line a rope eye in 38mm wire rope and stop the rope crushing or wearing through at the termination point. At 165mm high with a 114mm D dimension and 43mm across A, it is a big thimble built for the sort of rope you see on crane pendants, mooring work and winch lines.
Hot dipped galvanising is what keeps the corrosion off when the eye lives outdoors or gets wet, so it holds up on marine jobs and exposed sites. This thimble complies to AS1138. Match the thimble to the rope diameter, because an undersized groove lets the rope shift and a loose fit chews the eye out early. Check the groove for flattening or wear before reusing one.
