The Beaver Wire Rope Thimbles Hot Dipped Galvanised 20mm is the eye liner you drop into a soft eye or spliced termination so 20mm wire rope keeps its shape under load. It sits at the larger end of the range, with a 21.6mm groove to seat the rope, a 52mm D dimension and an overall height of 75mm. That extra bulk suits the heavier rope work on cranes, winch lines and lifting assemblies.

Without a thimble, the rope bears directly on the shackle pin or hook and the eye starts to flatten and wear. This one spreads the load across the groove and keeps the bend radius where it should be. The hot dipped galvanised finish handles outdoor and coastal conditions on site. This Wire Rope Thimble complies to AS1138. Check the groove is clean and the thimble is not deformed or spread before you splice or swage.
