The 3M E-A-Rsoft FX Uncorded Earplugs are disposable foam plugs for blocking out site noise, rated at 26 dB (Class 5) to AS/NZS 1270:2002. The bell shape and slow-recovery foam expand gently inside the ear canal to form a proper seal, not a half-fit that works loose by smoko. A flared end gives you something to grip, so rolling them in and pulling them out is quick with gloved hands.
The foam is soft and pliable, which matters on a long shift when the plugs stay in for hours. They suit construction, heavy engineering and metal processing, along with automotive work, woodworking, textile manufacture and chemical and pharmaceutical plants. Uncorded, so there is no cord catching on collars or lanyards. Roll each plug down tight, insert it, then hold it until the foam recovers and fills the canal.
