The Beaver Commercial Galvanised Wire Rope Thimbles 20mm sit inside a spliced or swaged eye to stop the rope crushing and deforming where it takes load. This is the 20mm size in the range, matched to 20mm wire rope, so the groove holds the heavier rope without letting it pinch or flatten out. The galvanised finish gives it a bit of protection against weather and general site knocks.
Worth noting up front: these are commercial thimbles and they are not suitable for lifting. Use them on standing rigging, guys, fencing, tie-backs and general rope work where nothing is being picked up overhead. Get the thimble size right, a 20mm thimble is for 20mm rope, and check the seat is fully bedded in the eye before you tension anything. If the job is a lifting application, go with rated gear instead.
