The Beaver Commercial Galvanised Wire Rope Thimbles 13mm line the eye of a rope termination so the wire keeps its shape and doesn't chew itself out under tension. This size is cut for 13mm wire rope, so the groove seats the rope properly and spreads the load around the bend instead of letting it pinch on a hard point.
The galvanised finish gives it a fair go against moisture and general knocking about on site, which suits fencing, guy wires, winch lines and other static rope work. Note that these are commercial grade thimbles and are not suitable for lifting. If the eye is going overhead or carrying a load, step up to rated lifting gear. Match the thimble to the rope diameter and finish the eye with the correct clips or a swaged ferrule.
