Beaver Commercial Galvanised Wire Rope Thimbles 4mm line the eye of a 4mm wire rope so the rope keeps its shape and does not chew itself out against a shackle or hook. It is the smallest end of the commercial range, so it suits the thin stuff, light stays, balustrade runs, fencing and general fabrication work where the rope is 4mm.
The galvanised finish gives the thimble a bit of protection against rust when it is sitting outdoors or around wash-down areas. Match the thimble to the rope diameter, because a 4mm thimble in a bigger rope will sit loose and the eye will pull out of shape. One thing to be clear on, these commercial thimbles are not suitable for lifting. Use rated lifting hardware for any load that goes overhead or under a crane.
