About this product
Beaver Galvanised Wire Rope Grips 12mm are U-bolt clamps used to form an eye or terminate the tail on 12mm wire rope. This is the 12mm size in the range, matched to a wire diameter of 12mm, with a 21mm A dimension, 30mm B, 26mm C, 33mm E, 49mm height and 50mm width. The U-bolt is hot dipped galvanised, so it handles outdoor work and washdown better than bare steel.
These grips are rated to AS 2076 and are not suitable for lifting. Use them for guy wires, fencing, bracing and general tie back work. Fit them with the saddle on the live part of the rope and the U-bolt on the dead tail, space them correctly along the rope, and torque them up evenly. Check the nuts after the rope has taken load and again as part of your regular inspections.
