About this product
The Beaver Galvanised Wire Rope Grips 8mm form a turn-back termination on 8mm wire rope, clamping the tail back against the live end. This size is matched to 8mm diameter rope, with a 19mm bridge width, 18mm saddle depth and 22mm across the jaw, so the rope seats properly instead of being pinched. Overall height is 32mm and width 34mm, with an A dimension of 14.5mm.
The U-bolt is electro galvanised for general outdoor and workshop use. Beaver rate these grips to AS 2076. They are not suitable for lifting, so keep them to guy wires, fencing, barriers and static rope work. Fit the saddle on the live end with the U-bolt on the dead tail, use the correct number of grips for the rope, and check the nuts stay tight once the rope has settled under tension.
