About this product
Beaver Commercial Galvanised Wire Rope Grips in the 5mm size clamp the tail of 5mm wire rope back on itself to form a secure termination. This is the smallest end of the range, sized for light fencing wire, guy lines, balustrade runs and general tie-back work where the rope is thin and space is tight. The 5mm saddle takes a D dimension of 5mm, with A at 10mm and B and C both at 11mm.
Overall the grip stands 19mm high and 22.5mm wide, so it sits neat against the rope without fouling nearby hardware. The electro galvanised finish gives reasonable protection against rust in general outdoor use. Worth being clear on one point, these grips are not suitable for lifting. Use them for static and structural applications only, and pick a rated lifting termination when load is involved.
