The Beaver VC Vertical Plate Clamp 1t is a lifting clamp for picking up and turning steel plate, girders, beams and pipe. This is the smallest size in the range, with a 1t working load limit and a jaw opening of 0 to 30mm, so it suits thinner plate work rather than heavy slab. Overall it measures 286mm at D and 144mm at B, at 4.5kg per clamp.
Grip comes from a positive cam action that bites harder as the load comes on, with clamping force increasing in ratio to the weight lifted. The cam and jaws are drop forged and heat treated alloy steel in a heavy duty steel body, and a spring loaded safety lock holds the jaw shut before the lift starts. Proof load tested at manufacture and complies to AS4991.
