About this product
The Beaver Colour Coded Safety Pin Bow Shackle 2t is a Grade S bow shackle with a bolt, nut and cotter closure, built for lifting points you set and leave. At 13mm body with a 16mm pin, this is the green coded size in the range, so crews can pick the right capacity off the rack without squinting at stampings. Inside width is 21mm, inside length 48mm, bow width 33mm, and the whole thing weighs 0.44kg.
The safety pin suits long term or permanent rigs, and jobs where the load shifts along the pin and tries to rotate it. Grade S gives the strength needed for lifting, towing and 4WD recovery work. Each shackle is marked with WLL, grade, size and batch ID or date of manufacture, proof tested to the Australian Standard, and complies to AS 2741. Test certificates are available on request.
Common questions
- what is the WLL of a 13mm bow shackle
- This Beaver bow shackle has a working load limit of 2t with a 13mm body and 16mm pin. It is marked with the WLL, grade, size and batch ID.
- what does the green colour on a shackle mean
- The colour coding matches international WLL lifting standards, and green identifies this 2t size in the Beaver range. It saves you matching capacities by eye when pairing shackles with other gear.
- safety pin shackle vs screw pin shackle which is better
- A safety pin shackle uses a bolt, nut and cotter, so it suits long term or permanent applications and situations where the load can slide on the pin and rotate it. A screw pin is quicker to swap but relies on the pin staying wound up.
