The Beaver Yellow Pin Grade S Screw Pin Dee Shackle 0.5t is the smallest end of the range, built for light lifting and connection work where a full size shackle is overkill. It runs a 6mm body with an 8mm screw pin, 12mm inside width and 22mm inside length, so it suits thin slings, small chain and light rigging hardware. The 17mm diameter boss gives the pin solid bearing.
Grade S steel gives a high strength to size ratio at a 0.5t working load limit, and the body is hot dipped galvanised with the familiar yellow painted pin for quick identification on site. It complies to AS 2741. Common enough on mining and construction jobs, plus towing and 4WD recovery. Check the pin threads freely and the body is free of gouges or bends before every lift.
