About this product
The Beaver Hot Dipped Galvanised Commercial Bow Shackle in 16mm is a screw pin connection link for shade sails, marine work, agricultural jobs and general fixing. It is a commercial shackle, not a lifting shackle, so keep it off any load-bearing rigging. The bow shape gives you room to take multiple legs or a wider strap eye without crowding the pin.
Key dimensions on this size are a 58mm length, 33mm inside width, 45mm bow and a 15.5mm pin. The wider 29mm jaw opening sits between the smaller and larger sizes in the range, so check your fitting before ordering. Made from high quality steel and hot dipped galvanised, it handles damp and coastal conditions better than a plain finish. The screw pin means you can connect and disconnect by hand.
Common questions

- what size is a 16mm bow shackle
- The 16mm size has a 58mm length, 33mm inside width, 45mm bow, 29mm jaw opening and a 15.5mm pin.
- are galvanised bow shackles ok for marine and shade sail use
- Yes. They are hot dipped galvanised for corrosion protection and suit marine, shade sail, agricultural and general purpose applications.
