About this product
The Beaver Zinc Hand Chain 5mm is the calibrated hand chain that runs through the hand wheel on chain blocks and geared girder trolleys. Calibration matters here. The 5mm section, 18mm inside length and 23.5mm outside width keep the links seating properly in the pocket wheel so the chain feeds without snatching or jumping.
A zinc finish gives it reasonable protection against surface rust in workshops and yards. At roughly 200m per 100kg it is light in the hand, which is what you want when you are pulling down a long drop on a block. One thing to be clear on, this is hand chain only. It is not to be used for lifting, so keep it away from any load-bearing job and fit proper load chain instead.
