Beaver Grade L Galvanised Short Link Chain 6mm is a tested commercial chain for moorings, anchor work and general marine jobs where lifting isn't involved. The 6mm nominal size is the lightest and handiest option in the range, with a working load limit of 400kg, or 0.4t. Link dimensions run 21.6mm at F, 18.8mm at R and 6.3mm material thickness, giving roughly 110m per 100kg.
Made from Grade 30 low carbon steel and complies with the requirements of AS 2321. The galvanised finish holds up to salt spray and wet weather, which is why it gets used around boats, jetties and yard tie-downs. Keep in mind this is not a lifting chain, so don't put it into a sling or crane application. For light restraint and mooring duty at 6mm, it does the job.
