About this product
The Beaver Trailer Safety Chain 13mm x Galvanised is the safety chain you run between a trailer and the tow vehicle so the load stays attached if the coupling lets go. This is the heaviest size in the range, designated 3.5t, which makes it the pick for plant trailers, tandem box trailers and site floats working at the top of the light trailer bracket. It is designed in accordance with AS/NZS 4177.4.
Nominal size is 13mm with 12mm material, an inside length of 44.5mm and outside width of 51.7mm, so it suits larger shackles and coupling points. Chain weight works out at 34.6m/100kg. The galvanised finish handles road spray and weather better than bare steel. This is transport chain only. Do not use it for lifting, and give the links a look over for wear or stretch before each trip.
