About this product
The Beaver Trailer Safety Chain 13mm x Self Colour is the towing chain that keeps a trailer tethered to the tow vehicle if the coupling lets go. It is the heaviest pull in the range, designated 3.5t, so it suits plant trailers, tandem box trailers and site floats running at the top of the light trailer bracket. Designed in accordance with AS/NZS 4177.4.
Nominal size is 13mm with 12mm material, a 44.5mm inside length and 51.7mm outside width, and it runs at 29.3m/100kg. The self colour finish leaves the steel bare, so give it a wipe of oil and keep an eye on surface rust if the trailer lives outdoors. This is a safety chain only. Do not use it for lifting or as a sling.
