About this product
Beaver Proof Coil Chain Long Link in 8mm hot dipped galvanised is a general purpose commercial chain for fencing, gates, barriers and light restraint jobs around the yard or site. The 8mm material sits mid-range in the long link family, heavy enough to take knocks without being awkward to handle or thread through a fitting. Link dimensions run 31.9mm and 41.2mm, so the longer, more open links feed easily over hooks and through eye bolts.
It is made from low carbon steel and is not a rated chain, so keep it well away from lifting work. The name proof coil refers to the consistent link count through a length, which means you get predictable geometry from one run to the next. Hot dipped galvanising gives it a solid coating for outdoor and damp conditions where a bright chain would surface rust quickly.
