About this product
The Beaver Self Colour Proof Coil Chain - Long Link 8mm is a general purpose commercial chain for restraint, fencing, gates and light tie-down jobs around the yard or site. It is a non-rated chain made from low carbon steel, so it is not suitable for lifting. At 8mm section size it sits in the heavier half of the range, with a 31.9mm inside link width and 41.2mm link length, and runs 82.2m per 100kg.
The long link profile gives you more open links for a given length, which makes it easier to hook, thread and pin than short link chain. The self colour finish means bare steel with no coating, so keep it out of the weather or give it a wipe of oil if it is going to sit outside. If your job needs a rated chain, step up to a grade lifting chain instead.
