About this product
The Beaver Self Colour Proof Coil Chain - Long Link 5mm is a light general purpose chain for restraint, fencing, gates and everyday tie-back jobs around the yard or site. It is the lightest option in the long link range, running 217m per 100kg, so it is easy to handle and quick to cut and reeve where a heavier chain would be overkill. Links measure 21.8mm inside length and 29.3mm outside, giving plenty of room for hooks, shackles and rings at this size.
Made from low carbon steel with a self colour finish, the 5mm proof coil chain is non-rated. That means it is not to be used for lifting. Proof coil simply refers to the consistent link count through a length, so the chain feeds and lays evenly. Keep it dry and out of the weather, because self colour steel has no coating to hold off rust.
