About this product
The Beaver Proof Coil Chain General Link in 8mm is a non-rated commercial chain for general purpose jobs around the yard, the site or the farm. It is made from low carbon steel with a self colour finish. The 8mm nominal size runs a 7.6mm material thickness, with links measuring 29.2mm inside length and 35.8mm outside width, which makes it the mid-weight option for anyone who wants a bit more body than the smaller sizes without the bulk of 10mm.
Proof coil refers to the consistent link formation through the length, so it feeds and hangs evenly. This chain is not rated and must not be used for lifting. Keep it to restraint, fencing, gates, barriers and similar work. Self colour means no protective coating, so it will surface rust if left out in the weather. A wipe of oil helps if you are storing it for a while.
