About this product
The Beaver Proof Coil Chain General Link in 6mm is a non-rated commercial chain for general purpose jobs around the yard, site or workshop. It is made from low carbon steel with a self colour finish, and the term proof coil simply refers to the consistent link count through any given length. At 6mm material thickness, this is the lightest of the regular link sizes in the range, so it is easy to handle and run through a guide or over a hook.
Link geometry is 24mm across the F dimension and 27mm on the R dimension, which keeps the chain flexible and simple to feed. Use it for restraint, fencing, gates, barriers and light securing work. It is not rated and must not be used for lifting. If lifting is the job, step up to a rated grade chain instead. Self colour steel will surface rust outdoors, so a wipe of oil helps.
